Weatherization Project at Combs Traditional Academy

The general scope of work includes: a. Clean all vertical masonry cracks by grinding or wire brushing to expose a surface free of contamination. Apply approved caulking into crack, dry tooling where necessary. b. Remove all existing building sealants that include but are not limited to; window assemblies, door assemblies and expansion joints, tool existing sealant and clean area. Install new approved caulking per manufacturer’s specifications. c. Prep all coated stucco and CMU block following all manufacturer recommendations / directions and specifications. Contractor to coat the exterior surfaces with the approved elastomeric coating or equal following all manufacturer two (2) coat system recommendations and specifications. Contractor to verify all paint colors with architect/owner prior to application. d. Prep all metal building elevations, including but not limited to all awnings, metal doors and door assemblies, and any other exposed metal trim and flashing starting at the finish floor elevation to the parapet cap following all manufacturer recommendations and specifications. Contractor to prime/spot prime all metal surfaces, where necessary, with an approved Primer. Contractor to recoat all exposed exterior metal with approved product following all manufacturer recommendations and specifications. e. Remove building signage for coating of exterior walls. Clean and reinstall. Typical for all building mounted signs. f. Include an exterior 4’x8’ mockup of exterior colors for Owner review prior to installation. Mock-up may be on plywood or other temporary substrate.
