| Description | Roof Replacement Project includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Roofing - Removing existing wood shingles and related flashing. Install new wood Certi-Label Tapersawn Alaskan Yellow Cedar Shakes and new copper or lead flashings as appropriate. 2. Carpentry - Selectively repair or replace miscellaneous wood components as associated with the roof work. - Repairs include, but are not limited to, trim, side wall siding,sheathing, fascias, rakes, etc. - Removal of existing materials above should be minimized in order to preserve the building's historic character. - Materials removed shall be salvaged where possible and reinstalled in order to preserve the historic character of the building. - New materials shall be approved by the architect prior to installation. |
