Description | Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond for the full amount of the bid or a Cashier's Check or a certified check on a United States of America National Bank for 10% of the amount bid, as prescribed in Sections 153.54, 153.57, and 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code The successful bidder shall be required to post a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract price. The successful Bidder, who, as a Bid Guaranty, submits a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all alternates), shall furnish a Contract Bond using the Contract Bond form included in the Contract Documents in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. NOTE: AIA Bond forms are not acceptable. If the Contractor prefers to give a Maintenance Bond, in lieu of the retained percentage, same may be given, provided it is executed in form as prescribed herein, designated "Improvement Maintenance Bond". Same shall be executed by the Contractor and approved surety company authorized to do business in Ohio. A Maintenance Bond Form is included in the Standard Documents section of the City's public home page on Bid Express. The Owner reserves the right to waive any and all irregularities provided that the defects and irregularities do not affect the amount of the bid in any material respect or otherwise give the Bidder a competitive advantage. All applications of pesticide or herbicide shall be performed by a person maintaining a current state license to apply chemical pesticides valid in the jurisdiction of the project. Submit copies of all required state licensing certificates including applicable chemical applicator licenses. Pursuant to Section 4115.03 of the Ohio Revised Code, the successful Bidder and all of its subcontractors, regardless of tier, will strictly comply with its obligation to pay a rate of wages on the Project not less than the rate of wages fixed for this Project under Section 4115.04 of the Ohio Revised Code. Additionally, the successful Bidder will comply with all other provisions of Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code. The scope of work includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation and services necessary for, and incidental to performing all operations in connection with protection of existing trees and other plants as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. 1. Provide tree and plant protection fencing. 2. Provide protection of root zones and above ground tree and plants. 3. Remove tree protection fencing and other protection from around and under trees and plants once all construction activity is complete. 4.
