Schools Parking Lot

The Ansonia Local School District is seeking sealed bids to repair and resurface the existing parking lots. All bids shall be based on approximately 21,535 square yards of surface asphalt. Transition mill of 1.5" - 0", Mill 1.5" of existing asphalt of approximately 4,300 square yards. Milling will need to be hauled off site. Apply #407 tack at .06 gall/sq. yard. Place 1.5" of compacted Type 1 surface asphalt. Excavate 10" of existing asphalt, place 8" of #304 stone, place 2" of compacted type 2 base asphalt in addition to overlay of approximately 500 square yards. 2" mill and fill repair, in addition to overlay of approximately 12 square yards. Place four speed bumps as determined by the owner. Seal all joints and re-stripe per existing lot striping. Alternate: Please provide alternate bidding for a chip and seal underlayment on the west parking lot near the bus barn of approximately 4,900 square yards, using MC3000 and #8 stone, with a 1.5" transition milling and 1.5" of compacted Type 1 surface asphalt. The alternate price should be shown as a deduct or addition to the total project cost and should not be included in the total bid cost. Any additional repairs to the parking lots that need to be made to complete the project, must be submitted at the time of the bid opening. The responsibility for timely and appropriate bid submission rests solely with each bidder. Bids submitted by mail must be certified or registered with return receipt requested and properly sealed and clearly marked on the outside with the statement: Ansonia Local Schools Parking Lot, 600 East Canal Street, PO Box 279, Ansonia, Ohio 45303. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award the contract for the Work to the bidder who is determined to be responsible and who submits the lowest responsive bid in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 9.312, taking into consideration accepted alternates, if any.
