Traffic/Street Signs & Posts

ITEM 1. TRAFFIC / STREET SIGNS Prices (each) are requested for delivery to the Borough of Pottstown F.O.B. Signs Complete - Material shall be mounted on unpainted anodized aluminum with 1-1/2" radius corners and 3/8" diameter mounting holes. Gauge for all signs shall be .080. All shapes, color and insignia shall conform to the "Uniform Traffic Control Devices" manual. All signs shall be reflective High-Intensity sheeting. Color - All signs as noted shall comply with manual as stated above and shall be multicolored if applicable. Street Name Signs - Extruded type required. High intensity sheeting (type lll). Legend and border in reflectorized white on a green background in accordance with present Penn DOT specifications in the dimensions shown on the attached Item list. Caps & Crosses - will be ordered as required for street name signs. ITEM 2. BREAKAWAY POSTS (COMPLETE WITH HARDWARE) Posts shall be hot rolled carbon sheet steel, structural quality, ASTM Designation A570, Grade 50. The finish shall be a pre galvanized zinc coating per AASHTO, M-120 followed by a chromate conversion coating and a clear organic exterior coating. Posts shall be 4 sided (2”x2”) square fit type and shall be 14 gauge with 7/16" holes punched on 1" centers on all four sides. Posts will be as manufactured by Unistrut Corporation or approved equal. Length and weight of post shall be as referred to in the bid proposal. ITEM 3. BREAKAWAY POSTS (WITHOUT HARDWARE)
