Description

Estimated Range $100,000 - $250,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Due to the tightness of the construction schedule, bidders should consider the necessity for an increased work force and shift operations Pursuant to New York State Executive Law Article 15-A and the rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, OGS is required to promote opportunities for the maximum feasible participation of New York State-certified Minority- and Women-owned Business Enterprises("MWBEs") and the employment of minority group members and women in the performance of OGS contracts. All bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. OGS hereby establishes an overall goal of 30% for MWBE participation, 15% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 15% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs) for Construction Work and an overall goal of 10% for MWBE participation, 5% for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises ("MBE") participation and 5% for Women-Owned Business Enterprises ("WBE") participation (based on the current availability of qualified MBEs and WBEs) for Electrical Work and HVAC Work. The total contract goal can be obtained by utilizing any combination of MBE and /or WBE participation for subcontracting and supplies acquired under this Contract SDVOBs' participation 3% The project shall be completed over two years to avoid conflict with other concurrent projects and the facility operations. The schedule of work for all contracts shall be reviewed and approved by the Directors Representative prior to beginning the work. 1. Phase 1 July 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2022: Phase 1 Work includes hazardous material abatement, exterior courtyard facade restoration work, removal and replacement of the low slope roof areas (Roof A & B1, B2) with the specified systems, construction of courtyard planters & ventilators, areaway restoration and door replacements and gratings and all associated flashings, roof drainage, mechanical exhaust systems and lightning protection systems. Work includes all temporary construction access, temporary protection and protection of the public. Temperature and weather sensitive work shall on these areas shall be reviewed and approved by the Directors Representative. 2. Phase 2 July 1st, 2023 to December 31st, 2023: Phase 2 Work includes hazardous material abatement, finish courtyard pedestals, pavers and planters, Hawk Street interior and exterior restoration, window replacements, steep slope copper roofing removals and replacements (Roofs C, D & E), architectural metal wall panel replacements and all associated flashings, roof drainage, mechanical electrical and lighting systems. Temperature and weather sensitive work shall on these areas shall be reviewed and approved by the Directors Representative. C. The contractor will be required to provide 24 hour 7 days a week response and repair to roof related water entry for the duration of the project. D. Approved exiting/egress pathways and protection of the public and public spaces shall be in place in the work areas at all times that work is occurring. The Washington Ave lobby will be required to be cleaned and restored for public use following the completion of each work shift and temporary protection measures installed inside the building will be required to be removed and reinstalled for each day of work. Coordinate the locations of work and protection with the Directors Representative.
