Miller County Courthouse Sidewalk Improvements

Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work, including the following: Installation of approximately 700 SY of concrete sidewalk along with associated services, near the Miller County Courthouse in Texarkana, AR. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid for those contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to the COUNTY OF MILLER or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the ArDOT Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Grant and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the determined prevailing Arkansas Department of Transportation Wage Rate Determination, as contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipients Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts for construction. Miller County hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. Buy America provisions apply to this project as well as Registration and good standing in the System for Award Management (SAM) will be required prior to contract execution. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. Section 3, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, and Women Business Enterprises, and Historically Underutilized Business firms are encouraged to submit bids. Miller County,Arkansas reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Miller County,Arkansas for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
