The main span over the Arthur Kill is a three-span cantilever truss with a simple span truss at both ends with a total length of 2100 feet and is supported by two-column reinforced concrete piers founded on timber piles extending into concrete tremie seal. The approach viaducts to the main span consist of straight spans with two longitudinal deck girders, longitudinal stringers and transverse floor beams supporting a reinforced concrete deck. The approach viaducts consist of thirty-nine (39) spans on the east (New York) side, with a total length of 2300 feet and sixty-six (66) spans on the west (New Jersey) side with a total length of 4900 feet and are supported by two-column reinforced concrete piers founded on spread footings and timber piles. The scope of services may consist of preparing Final Design and Contract Documents (Stage III) and performing Post Award Services (Stage IV) for the Rehabilitation of Outerbridge Crossing to achieve a 10 to 20 year service life and may include, but not be limited to, deck rehabilitation, joint replacements, drainage repairs, routine superstructure repairs, routine substructure repairs, electrical maintenance repairs, aesthetic lighting maintenance, and performing miscellaneous routine repairs ,.
