Description | The work under this project involves the removal and proper disposal of PCB Impacted soil and capping of the site as an Engineer Control at 608 DeHirsch Avenue (aka Hat Company Site) and more specifically includes furnishing all material, equipment and labor to complete the following tasks as further described in the bid documents. 1. Removal of a PCB soil hotspot previously identified in the May 2010 Remedial Investigation Report, Van Note-Harvey Associates, Inc. 2. Over excavate and remove additional impacted soil 10 ppm (mg/kg) or greater (if present); 3. Manage impacted and non-impacted soil through stockpiling and proper disposal (TSCA or other as required); 4. Provide health and safety precautions such as temporary fencing, etc. 5. Reclaim the excavation using certified clean fill; 6. Collect and present to client all documentation related to the PCB soil removal including but not limited to bills of lading, disposal/recycling certificates, and health and safety documentation. 7. Install a permeable stone cap engineering control on the northern portion of the subject parcel. The engineering control is required to address PAH(s) PCBs and metals in soil exceeding the NJDEP SRS that will remain in place. |
