Pedestrian Safety Improvements

The Reconstruction of Existing Pedestrian Facilities Including Curb, Sidewalk, Pavement Striping, Signing, Traffic Signals and Pedestrian Signals. The project includes two (2) un signalized intersections, four (4) mid-block crossings, and five (5) signalized intersections. The un signalized intersections include CR 9 (Main Street) and Tamara Lane, and CR 9 (Main Street) and Bridge Street in the Town of Cornwall. The mid-block crossings include CR 95 (Dunderberg Road) in the Town of Woodbury, CR 83 (Scotchtown Road) in the Village of Woodbury, and two (2) mid-block crossings on CR 13 (Kings Highway) in the Town of Chester. The signalized intersections include CR 9 (Main Street) and Hudson Street in the Town of Cornwall, CR 9 (Main Street) and CR 32 (Willow Ave) in the Town of Cornwall, CR 67 (East Main Street) and CR 108 (Schutt Road Ext.) in the Town of Wallkill, CR 67 (East Main Street) and CR 96 (Carpenter Ave) in the Town of Wallkill, and CR 1A and West Street in the Town of Warwick. The work includes, but is not limited to: Installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, installation of new pedestrian signals, upgrades to existing signing and striping.
