Description | The current digital signage solution used by TAMU resides on premise. Content publishers authenticate via domain account or authentication built into the solution. The primary method of publishing content is a Windows desktop application, with a secondary browser-based application. Signage players are typically Windows 10 machines (specifically Intel NUC and similar mini-computers), but we also have some iOS devices (iPads), a few Intel Compute Sticks, and a few System-on-Chip devices (particularly, Samsung SSP displays). Signage players are distributed across TAMU campuses around the state of Texas. TAMU operates the current solution under a shared service model. Content displayed on each sign is controlled by the unit that owns the sign. |
