Description

The current digital signage solution used by TAMU resides on premise. Content publishers authenticate via domain account or authentication built into the solution. The primary method of publishing content is a Windows desktop application, with a secondary browser-based application. Signage players are typically Windows 10 machines (specifically Intel NUC and similar mini-computers), but we also have some iOS devices (iPads), a few Intel Compute Sticks, and a few System-on-Chip devices (particularly, Samsung SSP displays). Signage players are distributed across TAMU campuses around the state of Texas. TAMU operates the current solution under a shared service model. Content displayed on each sign is controlled by the unit that owns the sign.
