Description | General explanation of work procedure requested: • Price all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to successfully complete the requested scope of work. • Remove any dead and damaged foliage from shrubs and ground cover in the areas of the requested scope of work. • Proper trimming of remaining shrubbery and ground cover to encourage successful and shapely growth. • Remove existing plants, as directed, from areas to be replanted. It is the City’s desire to reuse any plants that are still good in other nearby areas. Please provide a labor cost for the careful removal of reusable plants and the associated labor to replant these plants in other areas. • Prep beds for new plants including bringing soil levels up to grade, turning old soil, and adding necessary nutrients for new plantings. • Determine locations of existing underground utilities and perform work in a manner, which will avoid possible damage. Hand excavate as required to minimize possibility of damage to under ground utilities. • Perform irrigation inspection on areas within Scope of Work. Include recommendations and pricing for adjusting, repairing, adding to, and/or redirecting existing irrigation within beds as needed to assure plant material within the defined areas will have proper irrigation. Must be performed by a Texas Licensed Irrigator. • Provide plant pricing for requested inventory. Plants shall be well-formed No. 1 Grade or better nursery stock in accordance with requirements of the Standards of the American Standard for Nursery Stock, Edition approved May 2, 1986 by American National Standards Institute, Inc. and free from disease, insects, eggs, and larvae. • Provide labor cost to plant newly purchased materials per customer’s direction. • Soil should be added to sunken and/or eroded landscape bed sections so that plantings are level and aesthetically correct. • Add minimum of 2” red, shredded mulch top dressing for retention of proper moisture levels. • Perform all work in a safe, clean, and professional manner at all times. |
