Description | Scope Of Work Garden City Public Schools is seeking highly qualified/experienced contractor to provide and install 33 new Elkay LZS8WSLK EZH2O Filling Stations with single ADA cooler, filtered, 8 GPH, light gray, commercial water bottling stations and or similar District preapproved units. This work will include the removal and disposal of the existing drinking fountains, any electrical and plumbing modifications needed to ensure units are operational and compliant along with repairing any wall imperfections left visible from the previous fountain or from installation of the new bottling stations. Contractor must supply the new bottle filling stations, tools and other equipment necessary for the performance and completion of the scope of work General Requirements Security: o All Facilities must remain and be left securely locked. o No exterior doors will be propped open Personnel: o Only authorized employees of the vendor are allowed in facilities at any time. o All such employees must be working while at the school. o No children will be allowed to accompany employees. o Contractor must be able to provide proof that personnel meet all Federal and State Labor Laws and requirements. o A minimum of one worker must be able to communicate in English and must be able to read messages in English. Damage: o Contractor will be responsible for any damage done to school property including personal belongings within the facility by contactors personnel, or their subcontractors. Any such damage will be repaired or replaced at the contractors expense and to the satisfaction of Garden City Public Schools. Work Schedule: o A specific work schedule must be agreed upon and adhered to. Responses will be emailed to all respondents no later than December 9, 2022. Bid Proposals shall be submitted as set forth in Paragraph 3, above. Because Work on this Project is covered by the Michigan Prevailing Wage Act ("Act") and the Davis-Bacon Act, the Contractor and its subcontractors and other Subordinate Parties that are governed by the applicable prevailing wage law shall pay all hours at the prevailing wage rates at the applicable hourly rate; no Work performed by or on behalf of the Contractor on this Project will be paid on a lump sum basis or a piece rate basis in violation of the Act or the Davis-Bacon Act, as applicable. 3.2. The Contractor will pay its workers at wage and fringe benefit rates consistent with the Act or the Davis-Bacon Act regardless of whether the workers are classified as employees or independent contractors. 3.3. The Contractor shall not misclassify any work assignments, but shall in each and every case follow proper jurisdictional assignments in compliance with the Act or the Davis-Bacon Act, as applicable. |
