The Work of this Contract consists of constructing a 10-foot wide stone trail along the Great Western Trail Right of Way from Sta. 0+00 (east side of WCR 23) to Sta. 68+00 (approximately 0.8 miles west of WCR 27) and other miscellaneous earthwork, culverts, drainage and bridge improvements. The Colorado Department of Transportation 2021 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction controls construction for the project and shall take precedence over any other specification. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of the race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The Town of Windsor has determined that Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (UDBEs) will participate by contracting for a part of the work of this Contract. The contract goal for participation in this Contract by certified DBEs who have been determined to be underutilized has been established as three (3%) percent. Each Bidder shall file with his Bid an acceptable Bid security in the form of a bidder's bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and a Labor and Material Payment Bond guaranteeing payment of all debts arising out of the Work. No Bid may be withdrawn for the period of time after the date Bids are opened which is specified in the Bid Form.
