Description | The County of Volusia, Public Works Department, Coastal Division is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the construction of 9th Avenue Pedestrian Dune Walkover Replacement located at 9th Avenue Beach Access in New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32169. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. Term: Total contract time: 120 days ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $285,000.00 This project includes demolition of an existing damaged timber ADA dune walkover and replacement with a newly designed timber ADA compliant beach access ramp and single ADA compliant parking space per the attached technical specifications and construction plans. Mobilization of Equipment Demolition of existing structure Environmental and permit compliance Construction of new structure As-built Survey Demobilization of Equipmen A Bid bond shall accompany each Bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid amount and shall be valid for a period not less than one hundred twenty (120) days. If a Bid bond is used, the Bidder shall complete and submit the Bid bond form provided in this solicitation Failure of the Bidder to execute a Contract and record the required bonds as provided herein within ten (10) days after a written Notice of Award has been given shall be just cause for the annulment of the award and the forfeiture of the Bid security to the County, which forfeiture shall be considered not as a penalty, but in liquidation of damages sustained. Award may then be made to the next lowestresponsive and responsible Bidder or all Bids may be rejected |
