Description | Project Description: This project includes demolition of the existing treatment facility, 150 feet of 8-inch Gravity Sewer, 270 feet of 2-inch Force Main, 1,240 feet of 3-inch Force Main, and 1 each Pump Station. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, made payable to the CITY OF BLUE SPRINGS in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid or by a bond with an Incorporated Surety licensed to do business in the State of Missouri in the sum of five percent (5%) of the total bid, which may be retained by the Owner until the Contract for the project shall have been executed. Bid Checks will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders when their bids are rejected. Bid check of the successful bidder shall be retained until a satisfactory performance, two-year maintenance and payment bond, in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract, shall have been furnished. Wage rates paid on construction work for this project shall be at least equal to the Division of Labor Standards of the State of Missouri. The City of Blue Springs, Missouri reserves the right to award the contract by sections, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. The City of Blue Springs hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination, regardless of race, color, or national origin in consideration for any award. All bidders are also notified that as a condition for contract award documentation proving "their enrollment and participation in a federal work authorization program" such as E-verify must be submitted to the City. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. |
