SH3 and FM518 Intersection Improvements - ST2003 - City of League City

This project will add 230 linear feet to the existing Left Turn Lane southbound on SH3 at the FM518 intersection and convert an existing Thru Lane southbound SH3 at the FM518 intersection into a second Left Turn Lane, and a new Right Turn Lane to southbound SH3 at the FM518 intersection. An additional 170 linear feet will be added to an existing Right Thru Lane on southbound SH3 south of the FM518 intersection and 400 linear feet to an existing Left Turn Lane on northbound SH3 at the FM518 intersection. A Conversion of an existing Thru Lane on Northbound SH3 at the FM518 intersection into a second Left Turn Lane and a new Right Turn Lane to northbound SH3 at the FM518 intersection will be included. Additional 180 linear feet will be added to the existing Left Turn Lane on eastbound FM518 at the SH3 intersection with a raised curb median and a new Right Turn Lane eastbound on FM518 at the SH3 intersection. A Right Turn/Thru Lane will be converted to a 460 linear foot Right Turn Lane on westbound FM518 at the SH3 intersection and an additional 110 linear feet will be added to the Left Turn Lane on westbound FM518 at SH3 intersection. Traffic access management measures will be Implemented with raised curbs. The programmed amount reflects the original scope and will be adjusted once the design firm is able to give construction cost estimates for the increase in scope. As of September 30, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction Fy 2023. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
