Description

Bid cancelled The City of Bakersfield is requesting bids from experienced and reputable contractors to upgrade the existing plumbing @ the CBACC as specified herein. Estimated Bid Value $97000.00 A Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Bidders Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City of Bakersfield, shall accompany each bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the City with a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond issued by a California admitted surety in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The right is reserved by the City of Bakersfield to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities not affected by law in any bids received, to evaluate in its absolute discretion, the bids submitted and to award the contract according to the proposal which best serves the interests of the City. (Go off Existing Lines) Using long runs of copper lines to reduce coupler connections and have everything progressed, if possible, unless within walls and tight spaces. o Include shut-off valves to each section of the building to isolate for emergencies. o Work shall be done during the week between 6am to 5pm. Weekend work could be a possibility. o Drywall, ceiling tile, hard-lid areas that need to be exposed for new plumbing shall be cleaned up and repaired by contractors. Any damaged caused to existing furniture, equipment, parts of building, etc. shall be the responsibility of the contractor to replace. o Plastic covering shall be used by the contractor to protect Animal Care Center staff, animals and furniture and equipment etc. Areas should be cleared and cleaned before end of workday daily. o Line item - Replace water Heater and all necessary material included. o Scoping, cleaning out and jetting floor drain lines throughout that Surgery building and Kennels A, B & C floor drains. Remove and reinstall drain covers if needed.
