Description | Sealed bids for resurfacing of approximately 4.61 miles of township roads with 448 asphalt and 407 asphalt tack coat. The successful bidder must complete the total paving project prior to October 1, 2023. Bidders shall be required to submit a current Ohio Department of Transportation Certification of Qualifications, which shows they are currently qualified to provide said surety of both Equipment and Products. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form, shall be furnished by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Additionally, contractor compliance with equal opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governors Executive Order of 1972, and Governors Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Muskingum County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. All materials for the project shall come from an O.D.O.T. certified source and shall meet current Ohio Department of Transportation Construction and Materials Specifications, including all supplemental specifications. Road material must not be hauled more than 20 miles. The bids should be submitted in the price per ton for asphalt, price per gallon for tack and total project price. All roads to be paved are to be swept. All driveway approaches, mailbox approaches and intersections are to be paved. The trustees reserve the right to wave irregularities and to reject any and all bids. |
