The Board of Education of Mineola Union Free School District, Town of North Hempstead, New York will receive bids for: Nassau County School Districts Director of Facilities Cooperative Bidding Suspended Ceiling Bid The School District reserves the right to specify a later bid opening date through a bid addendum. If the Business Office is closed on the specified date for the bid opening due to inclement weather or other emergency, bids will be opened on the next business day on which the Business Office is open. All bids shall be made on the standard bid form included in the bid instructions and specifications and the sealed envelopes containing the bids shall be marked "FOR BID OPENING, Suspended Ceiling Bid. Each bidder assumes the risk of any delay caused by the mail or by other means of delivery. Participating School Districts: Baldwin UFSD, Bellmore UFSD, Bellmore-Merrick UFSD, Bethpage UFSD, Carle Place UFSD, East Rockaway UFSD, East Williston UFSD, Floral Park Bellerose UFSD, Freeport UFSD, Garden City UFSD, Glen Cove CSD, Great Neck UFSD, Hempstead UFSD, Herricks UFSD, Hewlett-Woodmere UFSD, Hicksville UFSD, Island Trees UFSD, Jericho UFSD, Levittown UFSD, Locust Valley CSD, Long Beach UFSD, Lynbrook UFSD, Manhasset UFSD, Massapequa UFSD, Merrick UFSD, Mineola UFSD, New Hyde ParkGarden City Park UFSD, North Bellmore UFSD, North Merrick UFSD, North Shore CSD, Plainedge UFSD, Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD, Port Washington UFSD, Rockville Centre UFSD, Roosevelt UFSD, Seaford UFSD, Syosset CSD, Valley Stream UFSD #24, Valley Stream UFSD #30, Wantagh UFSD, West Hempstead UFSD. Bidders are hereby notified that the inclusion of a school district as a listed participating school district in this bid does not obligate or require that school district in any way, to utilize this bid. All School Districts are free to use any bidding source available to them, to engage a particular service or purchase a product, all as deemed appropriate by that district. The terms and conditions of the contract or contracts awarded under this cooperative bid shall be extended to and made available for procurement by other Nassau County schools districts which are or become members of the Nassau County Directors of School Facilities Purchasing Consortium, during the term of the awarded contract(s), in accordance with General Municipal Law Article 5-G and section 103, subdivision 16. Bids are subject to all conditions contained in the instructions and specifications. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Mineola Union Free School District in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid. Prices must remain firm until fortyfive (45) days following the date of the bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to consider experience, service and reputation of the bidder in the field of Irrigation Installation and Services. In addition, the Board of Education reserves the right to consider the financial responsibility of the prospective bidder in its evaluation of the bids and in its award of a contract, if any.
