| Description | DISPLACEMENT TYPE METERS: This specification covers cold-water displacement type NSF 61 approved, from 5/8 x 3/4 inch through 2-inch in size designed for waterworks service. Water meters supplied under this specification shall be disc type or piston type meters with magnetically driven, hermetically sealed registers. Cases, bottom plates, register boxes and lids shall be constructed of bronze per AWWA standards. Except as otherwise modified or supplemented herein, the latest revision of AWWA Standard C700 "AWWA Standard for Cold Water Meters - Displacement Type" and AWWA Manual M6 shall govern the materials, design, manufacture and testing of all meters furnished under this specification. Standard flows apply except where noted on the bid tabulation sheet. | ||
