County Road 46 and Smith Road Intersection Improvements

Work under this Contract primarily consists of intersection improvements for County Road 46 and Smith Road in the Town of Hopewell, Ontario County, New York. The work will transform the existing two-way stop-controlled intersection of CR 46 and Smith Road into a modern roundabout. The work includes landscaping improvements within the central island of the existing modern roundabout at the intersection of CR 8 and CR 41/Shortsville Road in the Town of Farmington. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures 2. Installation and maintenance of work zone traffic control measures 3. Coordination with private utility owners for utility relocations 4. Open and closed drainage system construction 5. Water main relocation and replacements 6. Vertical roadway profile adjustment on one of intersection’s approaches 7. Full-depth pavement reconstruction at the intersection, on its immediate approaches, and area of profile adjustment 8. Installation of curb along the central island, truck apron, splitter islands, and shoulders 9. Concrete and asphalt paving 10. Installation of new roadway lighting 11. Installation of new signs and pavement markings in conformance with MUTCD requirements 12. Restoration of all driveways and property disturbed by construction 13. Installation of landscaping 14. Turf establishment 15. Incidental work necessary to completely and satisfactorily construct the project
