Description | The project work is comprised of furnishing all equipment, tools, labor, and materials necessary for the rehabilitation of Bogue Road Bridge which includes the rapid and complete replacement of the existing bridge deck with a proprietary precast concrete full depth panel system, installing steel railings, constructing abutment joints, the construction of a link slab using UHPC concrete, the application of a waterproofing membrane and bituminous concrete wearing surface, the replacement of existing steel bearings with elastomeric pads, girder repairs, minor substructure modifications and backwall extensions, approach roadway reconstruction, minor drainage improvements, the installation of approach metal beam rails and concrete endblocks, and is designated for the City of Torrington. A bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid. A noncollusion statement for Prime Contractor and any addendum acknowledgement must also be submitted at the time of the bid. A performance, labor, and materials bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid will be required. The City of Torrington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the contract as it feels will best serve the public interest. All bids will be considered valid for a period of sixty (60) days. |
