Description

This project is moving forward to increase the capacity of the existing trunk sewer mains within the project area to reduce sanitary sewer overflows. Existing trunk sewer mains will be replaced with a larger diameter main or will have a new parallel main constructed to increase the amount of flow carried to the Northwest Treatment Plant. The project will consist of the construction of approximately 6,928 LF of sewer main ranging in size from 8-inch to 30-inch diameter, and thirty (30) manholes ranging in depth from 6 feet to 12 feet. Question Deadline 07/27/2023 at 10:00 AM CT The cutoff for any questions pertaining to this bid is HAND DELIVERED, FAXED, OR EMAILED BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED The City of Springfield, Missouri hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. A certified or cashier s check or bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal. Note all labor shall be paid Missouri Prevailing Wages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities in bids. PREVAILING WAGE: All labor utilized in the construction of this project shall be paid a wage of no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in this locality, as established and amended at any time by the Department of Labor of the State of Missouri, in accordance with prevailing wage as set forth in Annual Missouri State Wage Determination No. 30, Section 039, Greene County, and all addenda, and fully complied with the provisions and requirements of the Missouri State Prevailing Wage Law (Section 290.250, RSMo)In addition, the Contractor agrees to pay wages not less than once a week. In submitting this bid, the Bidder further agrees to pay to or allow the City as liquidated damages the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), for each calendar day thereafter that the work does not achieve Final Completion. The Contractor agrees to bring the work to Final Completion within 365 days from the Notice to Proceed. The City shall have a minimum of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the opening to accept the Bidder's offer. The successful Bidder shall secure licenses imposed by law and ordinance and pay all charges and fees.
