Description

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (Tdcj) is Currently Seeking Bids to Establish a Purchase Order for the Procurement of Installing Emergency Power - Multiple Locations at the Rudd Unit in Brownfeild, Texas Scope of Work to be performed by Vendor: 1. Supply, mount, and install a new 800 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, NEMA-3R, Service Entrance Rated, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS-1), ahead of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP-1) fed by the (T-1) Transformer. This will feed the MDP-1, instead of the existing Emergency Main Distribution Panel (EMDP-1). The existing 200 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, ATS-1 can be abandoned in place or used as a junction box to feed the conductors thru. 2. Supply, mount, and install a new 800 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, NEMA-3R, Service Entrance Rated, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS-2), ahead of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP-2) fed by the (T-2) Transformer. This will feed the MDP-2, instead of the existing Emergency Main Distribution Panel (EMDP-2). The existing 200 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, ATS-2 can be abandoned in place or used as a junction box to feed the conductors thru. 3. Supply, mount, and install a new 400 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, NEMA-3R, Service Entrance Rated, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS-3), ahead of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP-3) fed by the (T-3) Transformer. This will feed the MDP-3, instead of the existing Emergency Main Distribution Panel (EMDP-3). The existing 200 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, ATS-3 can be abandoned in place or used as a junction box to feed the conductors thru. 4. Supply, mount, and install a new 1200 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, NEMA3R, Service Entrance Rated, Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS-4), ahead of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP-4) fed by the (T-4) Transformer. This will feed the MDP-4, instead of the existing Emergency Main Distribution Panel (EMDP-4). The existing 300 AMP 480Y/277v, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, ATS-4 can be abandoned in place or used as a junction box to feed the conductors thru. 5. Supply, mount, and install all electrical materials and equipment, to include, but not limited to: Automatic Transfer Switches, Conduit, Conductors, Uni-Strut, Nuts, Bolts, Connectors, Coupling, and other items needed to perform the above described Scope. 6. Coordinate with the Unit Warden, Unit Security Operations and Unit Maintenance to minimize the facilities daily operational function due to temporary power loss, to include, but not limited to scheduling, providing temporary generators, to complete the Scope with minimal disruptance. B. Scope of Work to be performed by TDCJ personnel: 1. Shall provide on-site supervision and over-site of the outside vendor and it's work performance in the completion of the Scope of Work, while maintaining TDCJ Standards, 2017 National Electrical Code, state and local codes. 2. Shall coordinate with Unit Warden, Unit Security Operations, Unit Maintenance and the Outside Vendor to minimize the facilities daily operational function due to temporary power loss, to complete this Scope.
