Description

As of August 11, 2023, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The estimated cost of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of work consists of removing the existing pavement structure to subgrade and reconstructing a new pavement section consisting of aggregate base, hot mix asphalt base course, and hot mix asphalt pavement. Work also includes reconstructing existing concrete sidewalks and ramps in various locations; construction of paved shoulders and new concrete sidewalks, ramps and driveways; removing and replacing existing guardrails and drain lines in various locations; concrete lining of an existing corrugated metal pipe culvert; reconstructing street monuments; adjusting valve boxes and manhole frame and covers; installing new pavement markings, signage, and reflective markers, and other incidentals. To be eligible for award, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license prior to the award of the contract. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors..
