Description | **As of April 27, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** To install water level sensor gauges at nine (9) high priority locations and two (2) rain gauges at additional locations. Each bid must meet the requirements of the Request for Bids herein, including a certified cashier's check payable to the order of Haywood County Finance, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and a corporate surety licensed under the laws of the State of North Carolina to execute such bonds in an amount not less than 5% of the bid. Submission of any bid signifies the Vendor's agreement that its bid and the content thereof are valid for 90 days following the submission deadline and will become part of the contract that is negotiated between Haywood County and the successful vendor. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Haywood County Emergency Management requires a qualified vendor to install water level sensors and rain gauges at various sites listed in Attachment A. Sites will require hardware installation and services for water level monitoring. The required services shall include, but not limited to, initial site evaluations, hardware installation, data logger configurations, telecommunication services for data to be received at the North Carolina Emergency Management, Emergency Operations Center (NCEM EOC) data center and configuring each site in the Contrail (OneRain) platform, and gauge maintenance as specified. Haywood County will be responsible for securing any land use agreements and/or permits for installations of gauges. The County will also help coordinate with which ever warning siren vendor selected. |
