Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount of: $6,000.00, Six Thousand Dollars and 00/100. General Construction Contract D006057 Contract includes all work indicated in the drawings and specifications for General Contract # D006057: Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the Manager's House Roof Replacement including but not limited to: Removal of approx. 2,200 sf of existing asphalt shingles, underlayment's, metal flashings, drip edges, gutters and downspouts. Installation of new metal flashings, underlayment's, approx. 2,400 sf standing seam metal roof, galvanized half round gutters and downspouts. Work also includes the reconstruction of the rear building entry. Engineer's Estimate Range: $91,078.00 - $123,223.00. MINORITY AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PARTICIPATION GOALS (MWBE) For MWBE participation on this project: The Bidder/Contractor is encouraged to make good faith efforts to promote and assist in the participation of MWBE on the Contract for the provision of services and materials. The directory of New York State Certified MWBE can be viewed electronically Pursuant to Public Building Law 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,473,245 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2022). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder. The completion date for this project is 184 Days after agreement has been approved by the NYS Comptroller's Office. Liquidated damages may apply for failure to complete the work by the completion date. Anticipated Notice to Proceed May 1, 2023. Substantial Completion Date Oct. 25, 2023. Anticipated Contract End Date Nov. 1, 2023. Project Specific Liquidated Damages (Refer to Article 14.10 of the General Conditions). Please see Article 14.10 in the General Conditions for the Schedule of Liquidated Damages per day. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond/Payment Bond in the statutory form of public bonds required by Sections 136 and 137 of the State Finance Law, each for 100% of the amount of the Contract.
