Description | Contractors must provide Town with a fixed price cost to replace a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of six (6) Fire Doors per property. Fixed price shall include the cost of materials associated with the purchase and installation of the fire door in accordance with the Town of Hamden Building and Fire Code Standards, cost of labor associated with the installation of a minimum of two (2) doors and a maximum of six (6) fire doors. The estimated cost associated with minor repairs to areas surrounding the Fire Door. The cost of properly disposing of the doors offsite that are being replaced. Town will pay up to 15% over the fixed price fee amount to cover any extra-ordinary costs associated with the replacement of the fire doors. To receive an additional fee to for extraordinary cost, the contractor must provide the Town (insert responsible party here) with the following information: a. Written (email) request for payment for additional work to be completed (change order request). b. Provide a detailed description of additional work to be completed. c. Picture of the work to be completed prior to improvements. d. Picture of work completed post completion of improvements. The Town will not automatically authorize funding to cover costs to complete additional scope of work items relating to the installation of a fire door. If the additional costs are required to complete the project and the Town does not agree to pay for these additional expenses; through the Town, the Contractor can ask the Homeowner to pay for the cost of the additional repair / installation expense or elect not take on the job. |
