Description

Proposed Project Description: The proposed bypass would begin at Oglethorpe Highway (US 84/SR 38) one half mile south of SR 119, just outside of the City of Walthourville in Long County. The alignment would be on new location, parallel to SR 119. The bypass would cross over CSX railroad then intersect with Arnold Road, Griffin Road, and Dunlevie Road. The bypass would then cross into Liberty County and continue on new location to the existing alignment of SR 119. The proposed bypass would become SR119 and existing SR119 from Walthourville would be realigned to intersect the new roadway. County : Liberty As of April 04, 2023, the project is in Final Planning status. Anticipated letting Month is October, 2023.
