Description | Notice is hereby given that the City of Kenmore, Washington (the City) seeks Proposals in response to this Request for Proposals. The City encourages submittals from agencies, organizations, groups and non-profit organizations (hereafter referred to as "agency") that demonstrate a commitment to equal employment opportunity. The City is interested in partnering with an agency to engage with the homeless and at-risk-of-homelessness community within the City to connect them with resources that provide housing and stabilization services. At the May 16, 2022 City Council meeting, the Kenmore City Council authorized a Work Plan to expend $575,000 of funds received under ARPA. The Work Program included, among other programs, a $50,000 Homelessness Response Pilot Program with the intent to partner with an agency to provide targeted outreach to Kenmore residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in hopes of connecting them to housing and other services. The King County Department of Community and Human Services estimates that over 40,000 people in King County experienced homelessness at some point in 2020. The unhoused have been especially vulnerable to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Identifying this population, providing them thorough case management and access to housing and other services, and maintaining contact with them over the long term will help stabilize their situations. For more information, please refer to the RFP Document linked. The City of Kenmore is committed to a program of equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, creed, sex, age, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation. The successful agency(s) must comply with the City of Kenmore equal opportunity requirements. All questions regarding this project shall be submitted electronically to the Kenmore City Clerk at mkang@kenmorewa.gov. |
