Description | These services include: A. BEP Manual Maintenance: Maintenance of the Emergency Operating Plan and Plant Operations Manuals and other related procedures. B. Sludge Preparation: The Contractor shall be responsible for the preparation of the Treatment System and System sludge containers using empty ink drums provided by BEP. C. Offset Solvent Recycling: The Contractor shall be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the solvent recycler. D. Calibration and Testing of Equipment: The equipment listed below for the Plant shall be calibrated and tested at least per manufacturer's recommendations. This is not an all-inclusive list of calibration and testing requirements for the Contractor, or BEP may identify other needs for calibration and testing that will ensure optimum operation of the Plant. 1. The pH adjustment tank (T-8T), the Sulfuric Acid Fume Scrubber (FS-1T) and System pH probes shall be calibrated weekly. 2. The final effluent flowmeter shall be calibrated annually. 3. All mass meters in the Plant shall be auto-zeroed annually. 4. The 93% Sulfuric Acid Tank (T-3T) and all overhead cranes shall be inspected yearly. 5. The measurement devices and feedback loops from the computer to the instrumentation are to be tested frequently to ensure continued accuracy. E. Compliance Sampling and Testing: The Contractor shall conduct effluent sampling and testing at a minimum once a month, but more frequently as needed, to ensure that the Plant is within the compliance standards as set forth in the Permit. F. Hazardous Materials Response Team (HMRT): The Contractor shall put in place a HMRT as defined by OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.120(a)(1)(v) and 1910.120(a)(3) for response to release/spill within the boundaries of the Plant. G. Corrosion Monitoring of the Sulfuric Acid Storage Tank T-3T and Associated Piping: The Contractor shall perform an ultrasonic thickness testing of the sulfuric acid tank T-3T, and related piping annually per ASTM standards and provide a report that includes a summary of the test results and a comparison with previous forecasts of tank and pipe life of components. H. Janitorial / Cleaning: The Contractor is responsible for housekeeping of the Plant to include regular municipal trash disposal and break area cleaning and maintenance. I. Reporting: In addition to the safety/incident reporting mentioned previously, the Contractor will be responsible for providing a monthly report and an annual materials usage to the COR. | ||
