Crystal Beach Swimming Pool Replacement (GC Package)

The City of Madison, IN is requesting BIDS from qualified firms for General Construction Package of the Crystal Beach Swimming Pool Replacement Project Project Location: 400 W. Vaughn Dr., Madison, IN 47250 The scope of works is the construction of a new pool and all the associated site and MEP work. Additionally there is scope to modify the existing pool house basement as well as minor improvements to the adjacent existing concessions building. Refer to remainder of documents for definition of complete project scope. Pre-Bid Information 11/29/2022 01:00 PM ET Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference A copy of the bid documents may be obtained by the contractors from the printers, Lynn Imaging, 502-499- 8400. Documents are free to download or may be purchased as hardcopies. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Certified/Cashiers Check or Bid Bond shall accompany each bid. The amount of the Bid Guaranty shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the bid set forth on the Form of Proposal. The Bid Guaranty shall be made payable to the City of Madison Indiana. The successful bidder shall provide a 100% performance and payment bond for the project. Performance and payment bonds shall be executed only by a Surety Company possessing an A.M. Best Co. rating of A- or better and which holds a Certificate of Authority issued by the Department of Treasury and shall be listed as an acceptable surety in the Circular, published annually as of July 1, by the Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service in the Federal Register. The project must be substantially complete by September 1st, 2023. Owner expects to open the pool for weekend swimming starting September 2nd, 2023. PREPARATION OF BID: a. The Bid Form is included with the Bidding Documents.. b. All blanks on the Bid Form shall be completed in ink and the Bid Form signed in ink. Erasures or alterations shall be initialed in ink by the person signing the Bid Form. A Bid price shall be indicated for each Bid item listed therein c. A Bid by a corporation shall be executed in the corporate name by the president or a vice-president or other corporate officer accompanied by evidence of authority to sign. The corporate seal shall be affixed and attested by the secretary or an assistant secretary. The corporate address and state of incorporation shall be shown. d. A Bid by a partnership shall be executed in the partnership name and signed by a partner (whose title must appear under the signature), accompanied by evidence of authority to sign. The official address of the partnership shall be shown. e. A Bid by a limited liability company shall be executed in the name of the firm by a member and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign. The state of formation of the firm and the official address of the firm shall be shown. f. A Bid by an individual shall show the Bidders name and official address. g. A Bid by a joint venture shall be executed by each joint venturer in the manner indicated on the Bid Form. The official address of the joint venture shall be shown. h. All names shall be printed in ink below the signatures. i. The Bid shall contain an acknowledgment of receipt of all Addenda, the numbers of which shall be filled in on the Bid Form. j. Postal and e-mail addresses and telephone number for communications regarding the Bid shall be shown. k. It will be utilized in evaluating each proposal submitted. Evaluation of bids: 1. The city of madison reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technical or legal Deficiencies and to accept any bid that it may deem to be in the best interest of the city. The city of Madison requires submitted bids remain in force for a thirty (30) day period after opening or until Award is made, whichever comes first. 2. In evaluating bids, the city of madison will consider whether or not the bids comply with the Prescribed requirements, and such alternates, unit prices and other data, as may be requested in The bid form or prior to the notice of award. 3. If the contract is to be awarded, the city of madison will award the contract to the bidder whose Bid is in the best interests of the project. Permits & licenses The selected contractor shall acquire all permits which have not already been secured by the city of Madison. The selected contractor and all subcontractors are required to be registered as contractors with The city of madison. The cost of the registration is $50.00 and is considered incidental to the cost of the Project. This Invitation to Bid does not commit The City to pay any costs incurred by the individuals or firms in the preparation and submission of the Bid.
