Description | PROGRAM DETAILS: The Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC), Camp Douglas, WI is conducting market research seeking capable sources for services, non-personal, to Provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary for Project YAQF082005 to upgrade Building 504 Fire Detection and install Fire Suppression. a. The existing Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center (CRTC) Building 504 located at Volk Field Air National Guard Base, Camp Douglas, WI will be upgraded to provide fire protection for the building to be utilized as an aircraft hangar. The existing hangar includes an existing fire alarm system, but does not include an existing mass notification system, nor existing fire suppression system(s). The existing building will be slightly modified to accommodate the upgraded protection systems, including the addition of a fire pump and high-expansion foam (HEF) room. The hangar currently occupies 8,596 square feet and the new fire pump/HEF room will add no more than 600 square feet. b. The existing hangar will be provided with a new High-Expansion Foam (HEF) fire suppression system, new pre-action sprinkler system, new fire alarm system, new mass notification system, and fire extinguishers. The new pre-action sprinkler and foam risers, foam releasing panel and fire alarm panels will be located in the HEF room. c. The remainder of the currently non-sprinkler protected portions of the building (towers and new HEF room) will be protected by an automatic wet-pipe fire sprinkler system, fire alarm detection/initiation devices and fire extinguishers. d. All work will be in accordance with design requirements, specifications and drawings provided within the master specifications. This solicitation will result in a single construction contract. |
