Shoulder and Slope Rehabilitation

This project provides for the resurfacing of the Turnpike eastbound and westbound median and shoulders as well as the mainline resurfacing of the travel lanes in the Allegheny Tunnel. Work will also include shoulder reconstruction, guide rail replacement, drainage channel reconstruction, and replacement of inlets including type A inlets with new inlets, and drain pipes. Additional work includes Somerset Maintenance and Pennsylvania State Police Barracks parking lots, North and South Somerset Service Plaza access ramps, installation of gabion basket slope remediation, rock armor, and maintenance and protection of traffic.
