Description | The existing 12-inch Southern Force-Main (SFM), installed in 1992-1993, has exceeded its designed capacity, and will not be sufficiently sized to handle projected flows from continued growth in the southern and eastern quadrants of the City. The existing line already conveys approximately 60% (~400,000) of the City's daily flow back to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The City intends to run a new, 18-inch line to the eastern part of town to handle flows from the Union Road, Summerlin, Settlers Ridge, Springbrook, Willow Grove, Dorris Farm, Cambria, Kensington Greens, Meadowlark, Sage Crossing, Hester Drive, Loves Lane, and Highway 76 lift-stations; as well as several hundred residential and commercial grinders. This would replace the existing aging 12-inch line, but leave the existing 12-inch available for bypass or future growth. The project would be carried out in phases, manifolding into the existing 12-inch line and allowing flow to "split" between the two until the new line is fully constructed. Phase-2 will continue the Ph-1 line from Hester Dr to the intersection of Sage Rd and Cardinal Dr This project is in included in the City of White House FY 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of August 4, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
