Description | This project has been awarded to Sound Pacific Construction LLC in the amount of $493,337. Contractor shall perform all work and furnish all tools, materials, supplies, equipment, labor and other items incidental thereto necessary for the construction and completion of the work, more particularly described as the 2022 Pedestrian Improvements project. The work to be performed will include the furnishing of all labor, materials, services, equipment and incidentals necessary to complete the project. This contract provides for the improvement of midblock pedestrian crossings, pedestrian crossings at signalized intersection, repairing and upgrading sidewalk to meet ADA requirements and other work; all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications ("Work"). Cost estimate range: $380,000.00 - $425,000.00 Bidders are encouraged to send people not considered to be in "higher-risk groups" by the Washington State Department of Health. People over 60, those who are immune-compromised, and/or those with underlying chronic medical conditions are at higher risk of having serious complications from COVID-19. Bidders are encouraged to send people that are not sick with a cough, sneezing, and/or fever. Attendees are encouraged to take the following precautions to prevent possible transmission before, during, and after the bid opening: Wash hands often with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Cough and sneeze into the elbow or a tissue. Practice social distancing. Stay 6 or more feet away from people. Frequently clean and disinfect surfaces in your home and workplaces. If alternate submittal and/or opening procedures/accommodations than those shown above are needed by any bidder for health or safety reasons, submit a request to Christopher Ed, Transportation Engineer at CEd@ci.tumwater.wa.us a minimum of 7 calendar days prior to bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City of Tumwater reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or any portion of any bid, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid or in the bidding, and determine which bid or bidder meets the criteria set forth in the bid documents. The City shall reserve the right to reject single items or combinations of bid items. No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hour set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days.
