Description | UNION PARK PHASE I Base Bid This project involves site preparation, installation of concrete sidewalk, placement of playground surfacing, installation of walking path, ADA compliant parking and appurtenances, associated drainage work, installation of 10 high chain link fence, mobilization, construction documentation, traffic control, and site restoration, complete in place. Add Alternate No. 1 This project involves the purchase of the specified Playground Structure, complete in place. Add Alternate No. 2 This project involves the layout and excavation of foundation holes for the Playground Structure, complete in place. Add Alternate No. 3 This project involves the assembly and installation of the specified Playground Structure, complete in place Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words: "UNION PARK PHASE I Bids will only be accepted from Bidders that are pre-qualified to perform work in at least one of the following categories: general construction projects; storm sewer work; concrete work; paving projects; and electrical work. Subcontractors must be Whitehall prequalified for all categories which are not included in the Bidders prequalification categories. Bidders that are not pre-qualified to date in the Borough of Whitehall or have questions about their pre-qualification status in the Borough of Whitehall, should contact Ms. Courtney Wertz, Borough Manger for the requirements or to determine their status. Bidders wishing to qualify must submit all required Borough of Whitehall pre-qualification materials, to Ms. Courtney Wertz, Borough Manager, Borough of Whitehall, 100 Borough Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236, (412)-884-0505, by July 14, 2022. All bidders that submit pre-qualification packages to the Borough for review will be alerted of their status by July 21, 2022. Bidders shall note that all proposed subcontractors must also be Borough of Whitehall pre-qualified for those work items that the Bidder is not qualified to perform. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. All proposals must be in the hands of Courtney Wertz, Borough Manager, Borough of Whitehall, 100 Borough Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 on or before August 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time and the same will be opened and read publicly immediately thereafter. The Proposals must be made to the Borough of Whitehall, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Proposal guarantee. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages shall be paid on this contract. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Borough of Whitehall in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Bidder is advised that the Borough will award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive pre-qualified Bidder based on the total Base Bid or any combination of the Base Bid and Add Alternate Bids submitted. However, the Bidder is advised that the Borough expressly reserves the right to reject all bids, and specifically reserves the right to award to the lowest responsible and responsive pre-qualified Bidder a contract for all or any portions of the work listed in the proposal, and in awarding a contract for less than the total work listed, or less than all portions of the work listed, the contract price will be determined from the total quantities for each item listed and the unit price bid for each item listed. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein. |
