Powder Coating

1. Preparation shall include sand blasting to remove all surface dirt, oils, rust and dust. 2. Finished product shall be uniformly coated, consistent in color and texture and free of application blemishes. 3. Galvanized material’s exposed surfaces shall be mechanically etched by garnet blasting to remove any impurities, excess mill scale and foreign materials for the best adhesion options. 4. All exposed areas shall then be hand sanded to add a smoother visual appearance of the product. 5. All parts shall be powder coated with 2-4 mils of the City of Irving representative’s specified powder selection and cured to the powder manufacturer’s specifications by electro statically applying and curing in a gas convection oven. 6. All items specified will be coated “semi-gloss black” in color
