Repair of the East Wall of the Church

The members of Grace Episcopal Church, Vineyard Haven, the awarding authority, request bids for the repair of the east wall of the church, installation of insulation in the wall, and installation of new cedar shingles on the entire circa late 1800s historic church located on Woodlawn Avenue, Vineyard Haven. The project also includes repair or replacement of the concrete steps leading to the front door of Grace Church as well as repairs to the supporting structures within the bell tower. The project is being partially funded with a grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusetts Historical Commission. All work must be performed in accordance with documents prepared by Jeffrey Brown, Architect, 50 Stoneleigh Circle, Watertown, MA 02472, phone (617)744-1668 and meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of this contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines. Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of price, previous experience with similar types of construction projects, ability to perform the work in a timely manner, and references. To be eligible for consideration and all the grant-funded work must be substantially completed by June 30, 2023.
