Description

***** This is a REQUEST FOR INTEREST ONLY! This request does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this request is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes only. ***** Request for Information (RFI) Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), which manages and operates portions of the Savannah River Site (SRS) under a Department of Energy (DOE) prime contract, solicits expressions of interest from potential suppliers with the experience, capability, and capacity to provide site preparation, fabricate and install metal building. ---- This RFI is issued to assist with finding potential suppliers interested in this solicitation. The SRS is located approximately 15 miles south of Aiken, South Carolina and is 310 contiguous square miles. Scope Summary Site prep and fabrication, assemble, and installation of a new 50' x 60' metal building. This scope assumes existing electrical is still in service to provide power for the new metal building. Phase 1: Site Prep Vendor structural engineering to determine slab requirements for new facility - depth of concrete foundation, pour specifications Grade site to accommodate footprint of the new structure Install approved foundation per structural engineering, ensuring material is installed to prevent stormwater collection Phase 2: Structure Fabrication and Installation - Drawing is separate attachment Fabricate and assemble 50' x 60' Metal Structure: has no windows, is insulated, open, and includes a metal double-door entry on each side of front and additional single metal door at the rear of each section. Double door must have 2 3-ft wide doors. 10' high walls with a 2 to 12 pitch on roof Install 10' high chain-link fencing to separate interior of the building HVAC - building must maintain a year-round temperature of 71 degrees. Compliance with IBC 2018 and NFPA 101. Electrical Requirements All electrical installation shall be in accordance with NEC 2020. Note: Utility power to new storage facility will be 120/208VAC. Voltage requirements outside this range will require new utility service. Storage facility shall come pre-wired with: Conduits shall be 3/4 " RMC or EMT. Install (2) 225A, 1 Phase, 30 circuits Electrical Panels one on each side of facility. Each panel will have: (12) 1 pole 20A 120/240 VAC Breakers. (2) 2 pole 60A 120/240 VAC Breakers. Install (14) Nema 5-20R Duplex receptacles. (7) on each side of facility. Install 120/208 VAC powered LED Light Fixtures for 3000 sq/ft building @ 16ft Height. Install (4) Bullard HVAC units 208VAC, 60 amps. (Size and number is subject to change by Engineers) Install (1) 600VAC, 300 amp Disconnect outside of facility. Install #12 AWG THHN @90 degrees for electrical outlets and lighting circuits (minimum) Install #6 AWG THHN @90 degrees for HVAC System electrical wiring (minimum) Suspended LED light fixtures. SRNS Tasks Responsibility Site Clearance Environmental Evaluation Checklist Electrical service will be installed to slab and run in conduit on outer wall to electrical panel inside. A supplier's response to the RFI does not guarantee they will be selected to participate in the RFP. Suppliers responding to this RFI shall include evidence of the following: Past performance/personnel qualifications Quality Assurance Manual (Uncontrolled copy) Scheduling competency Familiarity with EVMS Qualification for codes and standards Lead time for design and fabrication The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
