Description | Most of the roadways have a solid sturdy base and will require an overlay or a mill and overlay. There are a few isolated incidents of ADA ramp construction. As with most HMA projects, there will be necessary manhole, catch basin and water valve adjustments. The following is a comprehensive list of the HMA surface restoration associated with this project: Beaver Channel Parkway (0+00-48+04), Mill Creek to west of South 14th Street. Two Inch (2) Overlay, 1231 Tons South 12th Street (48+04-61+22.45), 15th Avenue South to 11th Avenue South, Three Inch (3) Overlay, 950 Tons South 32nd Street (61+23-123+95), 2nd Avenue South to Mill Creek, Four Inch (4) Cold in Place, Three Inch (3) HMA Overlay South 32nd Street (125+52-129+69.94), Mill Creek to Valley Oaks, Profile Mill and Three Inch (3) Overlay, 2946 Tons (total for South 32nd Street) Riverview Drive (129+70-181+75), 9th Avenue North to 6th Avenue South, Four Inch (4) Cold in Place, Two and One-Half Inch (2.5”) Overlay, 2989 Tons. Rolling Meadows (Tower Road, 33rd Avenue North and 34th Avenue North) 201+60-234+26), Three Inch (3) Mill and Overlay, 1766 Tons. In addition to the listed HMA resurfacing in the above list, South 12th Street will also require ADA sidewalk replacement, as well as some concrete patching. Riverview Drive will require some sidewalk adjustments, as well as curb patching. Rolling Meadows has four (4) ADA ramps to be replaced, as well as curb patching. South 32nd Street will require new pavement markings and rumble strips. Additionally, we will be replacing the HMA approaching the concrete bridge, which will amount to Two Hundred Three square yards (203 SY) of Six Inch (6”) HMA on Twelve Inches (12”) of Rock Base. The last piece of the project is the reconstruction of the 200 block of 28th Avenue North between North 2nd Street and Pershing Blvd. The project will fully remove the existing surface, curb and sub-base. These removals will be replaced with a newly constructed roadway, Five Hundred Seventy Four square yards (574 SY) of Six Inch (6”) HMA, Twelve Inch (12”) of sub-base and Thirty Inch (30”) curb and gutter. This portion of the project will also require two (2) new ADA ramps. Because of the steep banks on the north side, the courtesy steps will require replacement with less than three (3) steps each. |
