Description

This solicitation is being posted to this website for notification purposes only. Questions posted here will not be answered. The proposed project consists of the rehabilitation of the guide railing located at Freese Park at the intersection of Wall Street and Main Avenue in Norwalk CT. Scope to include rehabilitation of certain sections of the guide rail and may consist of a full removal and refurbishing, or full replacement of certain sections. Questions Due Date: Aug 16th 2022, 2:00 PM EDT All questions pertaining to this bid shall be directed to Sharon Conners, Purchasing Agent, at Sconners@norwalkct.org Every proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bank cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Norwalk in the amount of fifteen (15) percent of the bid. Accompanying this proposal is a certified check or bank cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Norwalk in the amount of $ . In case this proposal shall be accepted by the City of Norwalk, and the undersigned shall fail to execute the contract, the monies represented by such certified check or bank cashier's check or bid bond shall be regarded as liquidated damages and shall be forfeited and become the property of the City of Norwalk. Said checks or bid bonds shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidders upon the Award of Contract. When work is required in which no specific payment item is listed in the Proposal Form the cost of such work shall be included in the unit prices bid. All unit prices, lump sums, etc. listed in the bid proposal are firm and not subject to change for one hundred twenty (120) days from the day bids are opened. Within ten (10) calendar days from the date of a notice of acceptance of this proposal, the undersigned agrees to execute the Contract and to furnish to the City a satisfactory "Faithful Performance Bond" and Labor and Material Bond" in the amount of 100% of the contract price. All work to be performed under the Contract shall be completed within the time stated in the Agreement for the project or within such extended time for completion as may be granted by the Director.
