Southeast Parking Lot Improvements at Water Fall Glen Forest Preserve

The project involves of the demolitionand replacement of an existing parking lot and trail, withinWaterfall Glen Forest Preserve, located in Willowbrook,Illinois. The major components consist of demolition andremoval of 3,960 SY of asphalt paving and basecourse,removal of 1,425 SY of limestone screening trail andbasecourse, and a removal of latrine and pit vault. 5,875 CYof total earthwork; placement of 1,070 tons of hot-mixasphalt and placement of 3,580 CY of aggregate base (CA6); installation of 2,265 LF of concrete curb and gutter;installation of 8,325 SF of concrete pads and sidewalks; andplacement of 435 SY of limestone screenings at 2” depth.Additional components of work includes, installation ofstormwater conveyance systems, pavement striping, andmiscellaneous landscape restoration work including 2.5acres of native and turf seeding with installation of erosioncontrol blanket. The project includes one alternate for acustom swing gate.
