Description | GLCA Replace Obsolete Housing with Dormitory Modular Unit: GLCA -WW 124 DORMITORY Provide a minimum 3175 Square Foot Dormitory Style Modular or PreManufactured Housing Unit in the Wahweap District of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Housing Unit will be able to accommodate 6 temporary employees. At a minimum there will be six sleeping rooms with two closets in each. There will be a minimum of 3 bathrooms including sink, shower, commode, vanity and mirror. The unit will be equipped with a laundry room capable of housing regular size washer and dryer. Unit will have a kitchen with appliances including refrigerator, stove, oven, double sink with disposal, dishwasher, ample cabinets and counters will be provided. Kitchen shall be an open floor plan with a sink, cook top, and countertop island (see attached picture). The kitchen will have ample room for eating, room for a table large enough to accommodate 6-8 individuals. A common living area will be provided with ample room for seating for up to 6-8 individuals. Unit will be supplied with adequate HVAC, and heating. Project will include, construction of footer/foundation with crawl space. Project will include installed Uponor Brand Multipurpose Piping sprinkler system (loop) or equivalent to meet NFPA 13D requirements. Installation shall use ½” PEX tubing color coded (blue for cold, red for hot, white for sprinkle system) and will include water manifold with individual shut offs. Counters under sinks in kitchen shall be open and piping insulated to prevent burns. Project will include installation of utilities; water, sewer and electric from existing main lines to connection/meter on house. Contractor shall supply needed service boxes and meter base (s). Contractor will provide parking area for a minimum of 6 vehicles and a cement sidewalk from parking area to entrance. One curb cut will be provided for wheelchair access. Contractor will provide all site work necessary including leveling and insuring proper drainage from the structure. Contractor will provide structure and install on solid footing a ready to occupy housing unit. |
