UPS Maintenance and Support

Provide a full service contract for the County’s ten UPS units as identified in Attachment A. The full service contract shall include annual inspections, emergency service and replacement of all failed or defective parts with the exception of individual batteries that are over 4 years old and capacitors and fans that are over 7 years old. Batteries over 4 years old and where applicable any capacitors over 7 years old will be purchased by the County at price referenced on the proposal form. The following items shall be included in this scope of work -- Provide an annual inspection by qualified technician for all units. The first inspection shall be completed during the first week of the contract. It will be the County’s responsibility to pay for or repair any pre-existing issues. Repairs after this inspection shall be covered under the full service contract. All inspections and routine repairs can be performed during normal business hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (excluding high risk days where a storm or loss of power is likely). 24 hour 7 days per week emergency service, parts and Labor (except for batteries older than 4 years or fans and capacitors older than 7 years). All replacement parts must meet Original Equipment Manufacture’s (OEM) specifications and standards. Acceptable battery brands include CSB, DataSafe, Enersys, Deka, GNB, Panasonic, Leoch or Emerson Direct Batteries.
