Description

Procure, install, and rehabilitate three (3) groundwater well pumps. The purpose of the Well Equipment Replacement Project (Project) is to proactively replace groundwater pumps, motors, and associated equipment based on typical industry life expectancies. A Contractor will be selected to perform the pump replacements for three (3) wells throughout the District. Equipment pulled from the well shall be sent to the manufacturer to be inspected, rehabilitated, shrink-wrapped, returned to and stored at the District for emergency use. Subsequently, new equipment must be purchased and installed so that the well can be placed back into operation. During the pump replacement process the Contractor shall be responsible for televising and cleaning the down pipe in order to evaluate the integrity of the pipe infrastructure. If deemed necessary by the District based on results of video investigation and review of well records, the Contractor shall also perform a high pressure jetting to clean the well screen and gravel pack.
