Description

The work shall be substantially completed within One-Hundred and Twenty Days (120) after Notice to Proceed; and fully completed Thirty (30) Days after substantial completion The Town of Riverdale Park (hereinafter called the "Town") is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to engage a Contractor, licensed in the State of Maryland, to construct improvements including interior alternations and additions to Municipal Center buildings. The Municipal Center is a cluster of three Town-owned buildings located at 5004, 5008 and 5012 Queensbury Road, occupied by the Police Department, Town Administration and Department of Public Works, respectively. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond signed by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Maryland, or by a cashier's check, certified check or Treasurer's check drawn on a responsible bank doing business in the United States in the amount of ten (10) percent of the total Bid amount and shall be made payable to the Town of Riverdale Park. A U.S. Postal Money Order is acceptable in lieu of a check. If a check or money order is provided, it must be received by 12:00 pm on March 22, 2023 The successful Bidder must furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of One-Hundred (100) percent of the contract price covering faithful performance of the contract, made out to the Town of Riverdale Park within ten (10) calendar days of notification that its bid has been accepted. The surety thereon must be such surety company or companies as are authorized and licensed to transact business in the State of Maryland. Failure to furnish the required Performance Bond within the required ten (10) days of notification shall forfeit to the Town the bid bond All questions concerning this ITB shall be submitted in writing no later than March 3rd at 5:00 pm to RFP-BIDQuestions@RiverdaleParkMD.Gov and addressed to Nouman Haider. Include the Company's name, point of contact, e-mail and business addresses, and telephone number. Award of Contract April 3, 2023
