| Description | Contractor shall perform herbicide spot spraying of broadleaf weeds, vines, grasses and woody brush growing in the shoulder areas; in medians, interchanges and gore areas; along slopes; around guardrails and signs; and other right-ofway areas as directed by the Contract Administrator. VDOT will define specific treatment limits for each work area. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all fire hydrant use permits, if required. No siphoning from lakes, ponds, or streams will be allowed. The Contractor is prohibited from entering any VDOT maintenance area or property for the purpose of mixing pesticides or filling of water. The VDOT does not and will not provide areas or liability for such actions of the spray operations. No pesticides (concentrated or diluted) shall be stored by the Contractor overnight or for any length of time on any VDOT property. |
