Description

The project consists of replacing the existing concrete sidewalk and the perimeter sidewalk located to the west of Erickson Street. Four dumpster units will be installed for the Sunnyside Court Apartments. The existing asphalt driveway will be replaced with a new concrete driveway to the east of Erickson street and the existing parking lot. The existing asphalt parking lot will remain as is. The existing siding will be replaced with new vinyl siding and the existing front and rear porch along with the existing stoop will be removed and replaced with a new porch and stoop for all units located to the west of Erickson Street. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five percent (5%), of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Online procurement and contracting documents. A separate FTP site will be made available to the successful bidder for the duration of construction. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor, and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. The Owner requires all contractors and vendors doing business with the Owner not to discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, age, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ancestry, non-job-related handicaps, or national origin. Housing Authority of the City of Bloomington reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all informalities in the bidding. After receipt of bids and completion of the review process, the Housing Authority of the City of Bloomington may award a contract to the bidder that, in its opinion, will provide a combination of the best services and reasonable cost. The contract is subject to the Federal Davis-Bacon Act, as amended to date. The contractor shall pay its workers not less than the prevailing rates so determined and comply with the Act's requirements, including but not limited to the keeping of accurate records showing the names and occupations of all laborers, workers, and mechanics employed on this contract.
